IAFFE’s Fireside Chat with editors of the recently released special issue of Feminist Economics on global reproductive justice. Editors Rishita Nandagiri, Leigh Senderowicz, and Wendy Sigle will reflect on the state of research in feminist economics with respect to reproductive justice, what they learned through the process of curating this special issue and what possibilities they see for bringing the reproductive justice literature into closer conversation with feminist economics. This discussion comes at a critical time in the global landscape, and will provide insights on how the reproductive justice framework and interdisciplinary engagement can help forge a new agenda for feminist economists, researchers, and activists.

Dr. Rishita Nandagiri, Lecturer in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine, King’s College London.Her research focuses on gender and reproductive injustices in the Global Souths.
Dr. Leigh Senderowicz, Assistant Professor of Gender and Health at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Leigh is a public health researcher and feminist social demographer focusing on global sexual and reproductive health and rights, race, gender, and coloniality.
Dr. Wendy Sigle, Professor in the Department of Gender Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Wendy has published a number of studies that analyse administrative data and secondary survey data to address questions about family dynamics, family policy, and child wellbeing.
